MAY: A tribute to the Heymann brothers

Do you know the Heymann Brothers? Well, it’s time we introduced you! Spearheading one of Europe’s premier non-fiction outfits, the dynamic duo consists of filmmaker Tomer Heymann and his youngest brother director/producer Barak, household names in their native Israel and beyond. The two have produced and directed almost 30 films between them, winning awards and wowing festival crowds all over the world. Some of their best-known work includes “It Kinda Scares Me” (2001), “Bridge over the Wadi” (2005), “Paper Dolls” (2006), “I Shot My Love” (2010) and “The Queen has no Crown” (2011). Exile Room is proud to welcome one half of this dynamic duo, Tomer Heymann, who will deliver a 2-day workshop on their methodology and filmmaking sensibilities. The tribute will be complemented by four screenings, so stop by and get to know their world, on screen and in person!

The tribute is organized with the kind support of the Embassy of Israel in Athens.
