Dimitri Mugianis, ex-frontman of punk rock band Leisure Class, had been hooked on heroin for more than 20 years until a miracle cure, Ibogaine, helped him get clean overnight. Since then, he has built up an underground network that secretly helps other people break their addiction, until a client’s near death sends him straight to the source: Africa, where this mysterious hallucinogenic substance lies in the center of a clandestine religion.
