Docs in Exile Film Festival

Exile Room, with the support of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, presents Docs in Exile, an online film festival that will take place December 10-14, 2020.

Due to the pandemic, Exile Room’s customary screenings are migrating to your home screens in the shape of a 5-day festival that keeps the spirit of discovery that has always been our trademark alive. The festival consists of 30 feature-length and short documentaries that have largely never been screened in Greece. Online admission is free.

The Docs in Exile Film Festival revolves around two central pillars: the Working Girls showcase, dedicated to all our female-identifying viewers who have had to fight for their rights in the workplace, and Queer Stories, unique tales of love and identity that could change your outlook on life. Parallel to that, the festival presents a hand-picked selection of short documentaries that will take you all over the world – no plane ticket necessary!

The Docs in Exile Film Festival is hosted on the Thessaloniki International Film Festival online screening platform: online.filmfestival.gr

The platform will be open for viewing on Thursday, December 10th, at 10am. All films will be available until December 14th. Screenings are free of charge and Greek subtitles are available. All you need to do is complete a quick & easy sign up process.

There are limited viewing slots for each film and they are only available to audiences located in Greece. After the film starts, you have 24hrs to complete viewing.

Details on how to use the screening platform are available HERE.
